HR & General Accounting Specialist
As HR & General Accounting Specialist you will work closely with PeopleOps & Finance to ensure compliance of processes
Part-Time (3-4 days a week)
Fixed term until December 2024
Location: Romania (Timișoara)
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR & General Accounting Specialist to join our team in Romania. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth functioning of our HR and Finance departments, collaborating closely with our external payroll agency and accounting partners to guarantee precise and punctual processing of the related tasks. Moreover, you'll take charge of managing general administrative duties (G&A) within the office.
As HR & General Accounting Specialist you will work closely with PeopleOps & Finance to ensure compliance of processes and will be focused in the following areas:
What you'll do:
HR
Employee Data:
Maintain and update employee information in the HR system, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Process new hire paperwork, including contract and benefits enrollment
Manage employee terminations and updates to leave records
Payroll:
Work closely with the payroll agency to gather and submit necessary data for payroll processing
Address any discrepancies or errors related to payroll and liaise with the agency for resolution
Assist with payroll audits and reporting as needed
HR Administration & Compliance:
Provide general administrative support to PeopleOps
Assist with recruitment activities, such as scheduling interviews and coordinating onboarding processes
Manage employee relations, including handling inquiries and resolving basic employee concerns.
HR Policies and Procedures:
Stay informed of relevant Romanian labor laws and regulations.
Ensure compliance with all HR and payroll-related legal requirements.
General:
Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and ordering new supplies when needed.
Coordinate office maintenance and repairs.
Manage travel arrangements and expense reports.
Answer phones and manage routine administrative tasks.
Provide general support to the PeopleOps team and other departments as needed.
General Accounting
Your duties and responsibilities may include:
Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
Managing income and expenditure accounts
Maintaining relationships with banks
Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status
Support CPA on filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
ABOUT YOU
Who You Are:
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience in HR administration and accounting within Romania
Working knowledge of Romanian HR labor laws and compliance
Experience with accounting software and data entry (any ERP system)
Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Local GAAP)
Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
Excellent organizational skills and Analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluent in Romanian and English.
Extra Credit:
You speak Spanish and/or Italian.
You have experience with HR Software; ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) & HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems)
