This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) is intended to provide candidates applying to any job posting (“Candidate”) published on the website Careers - Launchmetrics (“Website”) with clear information about how Fashion GPS Inc. (“Launchmetrics”) processes their Personal Data during the recruitment process.
For the avoidance of doubt, this Privacy Notice does not form part of any employment contract (where applicable).
Any terms in capital letter shall have the meaning attributed to it within the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”), the California Consumer Protection Act (“CCPA”) or in the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”), the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China (“PIPL”), the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (“PDPO”), or as otherwise provided herein.
Launchmetrics will process Candidate (sourced or referred) Personal Data before, during and after the recruitment process.
Candidate Personal Data will be collected for the purposes specified in this Privacy Notice and only used accordingly. Launchmetrics will not collect more information than required for the recruitment purposes described in this Privacy Notice. Candidate Personal Data will not be kept longer than is appropriate or necessary for recruitment purposes or local legal requirements and in any case according to local statutory laws. Candidate Personal Data will be collected, used and retained in accordance with the Candidates legal rights.
PURPOSE OF PROCESSING
Launchmetrics processes candidates’ personal data for the purpose of identifying, hiring and pre-boarding suitable candidates across the Launchmetrics Group.
Where personal data has been fully anonymised, Launchmetrics may also use it for statistical reporting and business analysis purposes.
LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
The legal basis for processing a candidate’s personal data depends on the stage of the recruitment process:
- Application stage: When a candidate submits an application, Launchmetrics processes their personal data on the basis of taking steps necessary to enter into a contract.
- Pre-boarding stage: If a candidate signs an employment contract, Launchmetrics will begin pre-boarding activities (such as sharing information about office location and ways of working). This processing is necessary for the performance of a contract.
- Sourced or referred candidates: Where Launchmetrics approaches a candidate directly with an invitation to apply, the legal basis is legitimate business interest. In such cases, Launchmetrics will only process information the candidate has made publicly available.
WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED?
Launchmetrics may collect and store any information provided by a candidate when submitting an application. This may include, subject to local requirements:
Name and contact details, including address, phone number and email address
CV or resume, cover letter, previous work experience, education history and transcripts
Desired salary, relevant work experience, type of employment sought, availability date, and any employee referral information
Nationality, visa status and right-to-work information
This list is not exhaustive and may be updated from time to time. Candidates are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide information during the recruitment process; however, if certain information is not provided, Launchmetrics may be unable to process the application.
Launchmetrics may also obtain information about candidates from other sources, to the extent permitted by applicable law, including through interactions with members of the Launchmetrics Group, or from third parties such as employment research firms, identity verification services, and publicly available websites. For example, where a candidate chooses to connect a social media account (such as LinkedIn), Launchmetrics may collect information made available through that platform in accordance with its privacy policy.
As a final step in the recruitment process, Launchmetrics may conduct a background check. The relevant Launchmetrics contact will inform the candidate of the specific scope of any background check applicable to their role.
Information contained in an application will be accessible to the People Operations Team and the relevant hiring manager within the Launchmetrics Group on a need-to-know basis.
USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) IN RECRUITMENT
To support the efficiency of the recruitment process, Launchmetrics uses the built-in AI functionality within Team Tailor, its recruitment platform. This tool assists with administrative tasks and candidate communications. It is not used to evaluate a candidate’s suitability for a role or to replace human judgement in hiring decisions.
Human Oversight
All candidate selection and hiring decisions are made by the Launchmetrics People Operations Team. Any use of AI is regularly monitored, tested and subject to human oversight. Launchmetrics will not make decisions about a candidate based solely on automated processing or profiling where those decisions produce legal or similarly significant effects.
SENSITIVE DATA
Launchmetrics will only collect “sensitive data” (i) where permitted by applicable law and (ii) where necessary for recruitment for the role in question (e.g. if the job opening is dedicated, by law, to Candidates with disabilities).
Candidates may voluntarily provide information regarding their gender, race or ethnicity for the purposes of Diversity and Inclusion monitoring. This data is collected and processed on the basis of explicit consent, solely to support equal opportunity.
